Responsibilities of the Communications Committee of the BG News Alumni Society include the following:
- Produce a newsletter, NewsMakers, at least twice a year that is mailed to more than 1,500 alumni who worked at The BG News. Newsletter mailing costs are paid for by the BGSU Alumni Association.
- Coordinate development of this Web site.
- Promote activities surrounding events sponsored by the BG News Alumni Society, in particular the group's Homecoming events and an event during the University's annual Communication Studies Week each spring.
